Subject: Anybody doing the NYC Marathon?
I don't know anybody else doing this race yet.  It would be fun to "virtual" train with a fellow BTer.  This is my first marathon.

You are going to be in for either a real treat, or experience what I like to call, 'The retreat from Moscow' without the dead horses and cassions along the road.  Which it will be is up to your training.  I'll be doing it this year for the second time, and even then, I'm not sure which it will be.  Good luck, and keep up the long runs!

sunday november 7.  Registration closed June 1.  I

 heard from a friend that the lottery entries (those of us who don't "qualify" can sometimes take a couple of years' effort.  If you tried to enter for three years and were unsuccessful, you get in the next time you try.  I figured that would happen to me and I'd have at least a year to prepare, as my longest race has been a 10K.   Lo and behold I got in on my first try, so here I go...
