Subject: Feet numbness after bike
My feet are starting to become completely numb after the bike...so when I start the run, it feels like I am running in wooden clogs. Anyone know why this is happening? Thanks!

Is it the whole foot or just the toes?

When i first started getting mileage under me on the bike, my toes would go numb.  Lifting the toes (not putting pressure on them) while riding has helped correct this.  Obviously you wouldn't lift the toes during the whole ride, but if you start to feel the tingling sensation, give it a try for a minute or two at a time.  Perhaps your cleats need to be adjusted.  I am not an expert, just basing this off personal experience.  Others, please chime in!

Check cleat position it is most likely the culprit. I'll try to find a article or two real quick that goes into a bit of detail.

I remember one time on a cold ride my feet were frozen solid. It is a odd feeling starting a run with no feeling in your feet and having it come back very slowly.

I had this problem in the front and sides of my feet using my first set of shoes. I took them back and got some wider ones and now it rarely happens.

With my tri shoes my balls on my feet mostly my right foot can go to sleep. I have road shoes that I think fit better come in a wide width and have carbon soles...never have the problem with them.

It may be shoe fit.

Is it possible you are tightening your shoes too much?
My feet get a little numb if I pull them too tight.  They should be snug, but not cutoff circulation.

Thank you all. I am thinking it may be the cleat position. I'll take everything to the shop this week.
