Just got an email back from the race director. He says is 77 degrees so you are on the bubble for wetsuits. We are supposed to have a couple more hot days so that could break it. I am guessing it will be the day of decision though. Bring your suit just in case.

I haven't heard anything about water temps for this year but last year the water temp was too warm for wetsuits. I am going to bring mine just in case. Good Luck!

Thanks all. Got the temp e-mail too, but after I posted. I'd love the crutch if < 78, but will do my swimming anchor impression regardless. Good luck to all.

Hey guys!  I'll see you up there.  I almost forgot about these threads for specific races.  I think it's going to be a well run show.  Dale is doing an awesome job.

What a great job by Dale and everyone involved. I've played a lot of sports in my life, but I haven't been this hooked on one in a decade.

Looking forward to my 3rd ever tri on 9/1 in Marlton Lakes, NJ.

Many thanks to Dale and all the fantastic help.

I especially enjoyed the staff confirming my horrible swim, which unfortunately appears to be a trend, with "Sir, do you need medical attention?" LOL.

Thank you. I had a rough swim but I was able to make up some ground on the bike and run. A first time for me making top three so it definitely made me happy! Anyone else unforunate enough to be standing on the ground hive on the hill side by the swim start? I found out quickly bees don't like when you stand on their nest

Heh heh, I've been blaming my incredibly disappointing performance on the bee stings I got just before the swim start.

I gave my wife and kids a hug, started walking over to the swim, and felt this stinging pain on the top of my foot. Much to my enjoyment, BEES!

My foot felt like it was on fire & swelling up for the whole swim. But then I amused myself by thinking that maybe my foot was swelling into the shape of a giant swim fin. Maybe I should bring my own bees to the next event, sting all my toes just before the start and give myself some "natural" swim fins?

Alas, the bees had nothing to do with my time, that was due more to my complete lack of lungs, heart, and apparently, training.

Great day and a fun race. I'll be back next year hopefully. I'll be the one in the beekeeper suit.

I think everyone that raced did well.  The course treated me well and I was happy.  I'm more happy that I didn't find that Bee hive!  I would have screamed like a little girl...I'm sure.

Great job everyone and I'm sorry that I didn't get a chance to meet more BTers.

Yeah this was my first OLY and 3rd tri and it went well too. I was of course worried about the swim, but I did ok. Swim was 28+min so not too shabby, my bike was 1:14hr/min, and my run was 48+min. Total was 2:35+hr/min. I finished 7th in my age group(20-24) and 80th overall. Not great, but hey it was my first OLY so ill take it! Congrats to everyone else as well!
