Comments:

Just had a BLAST! I mentally struggled between 6.75 miles and 8 miles. I think there were more hills there - and I was just hitting a rough patch. But after 8 miles my legs felt lighter and I had a really strong finish!
What would you do differently?:

nothing. I really had a great time - and beat my expected time by 6 minutes, so I'm tickled!

Warm down:

had a banana, mini bagle, water and a massage - mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Event comments:

overall a great race. Very well organized. LOTS of police closing off streets and a volunteer on every corner cheering people on! I loved it - and will do it again next year!

Course: Began in City Park - SE of museum. Then went west (what a stunning view to begin). Then circled through city park, up past East High (my alma mater), toward Cheesman, then worked it's way to a loop around Washington Park.
