Subject:Asking for Professional Opinions on a Back Spasm
I am soliciting opinions and no one will be held to any advice given....
September 8th I had a back spasm (99.9999% sure thats what it was), it is much better but still painful. I have stopped my workouts since but i have been doing stretchs, i iced the first 48 hours and applied heat afterwards. Do you think it is ok to start lifting weights (light) with my back and working on my ab muscles to make the area stronger or should i wait until i am completely healed before starting back???? I have an Ironman June 22nd and am anxious to get in the game and start training but i want to be 100% by December 1st. It is really only sore in the mornings or when i get up and down out of a chair.
