![]() Swim
Comments: Good swim, I did not draft, I looked back near the end and I was ahead of a pack of 10 or so people, I should have been in that group What would you do differently?: Look around more ![]() Transition 1
Comments: I took my time ![]() Bike
Comments: Took my time after lap on and had a 20.8 average, lap two I has a 21.8 average. Good ride. Knowing how to shift and get into a tuck position on the hills can make a different. I hit 41 without pedaling on one hill b/c of a good aero tuck. It is an out and back course so the ability to push a big gear is important for the down hills. ![]() Transition 2
![]() Run
Comments: Hottest run ever for this event (according to the event director). It hit 95 degrees, I completely melted. There was noting anyone could do. I talked to alot of people after the race and they all said the same thing, it was miserable ![]() Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: The heat Event comments: It was a scary hot day and there was not a first aid station (just a tent with two cots). A lot of people could have used IVs and at one point they had to wait for a medical team to arrive as someone needed medical attention after the race. I know they could not have expected that level of heat but they should have brought in medical personal as day got warmer. It could have been dangerous. Last updated: 2007-10-07 12:00 AM

I enjoyed a really nice sun rise over the lake. It was very cool before the start I needed a jacket as I only had my tri suit as I waited.
