I was on the trendmill today. I was doing some walking because I was in my HR range already from the hard weight lifting workout. When I put my hands on the HR sensors on the trendmill I found my HeartRate droped about 9 - 11 points. Is my HR strap acturate at all or did I have a subpair work out?

The advice I have been given is to trust my own heart rate monitor more. What type of monitor were you using?

Your heart rate monitor is probably more accurate than the gym machine.

yeah the trainer at the gym was like always use your watch because the trendmills I was on are way off as she put it. Even the ones that are linked to polar are not always right. Moral of the story is stick to wearing the watch. Which leds me to wonder why even use the polar HRM. garmin always seemed more acturate to me anyways but garmin will not tell you cals burnt indoor though.

it was probably more due to you holding on to get the HR thus making it easier while you were walking that caused the drop.

I really do not think that was the case because once you let go there is no way you can have your HR go up 15 points instantly.

The treadmill is measuring your Pulse not your HR.  I can't tell you the diference, but..
