Subject: Yesterday my official Triathlon Training Start Date!!!!I'm so excited! I couldnt wait to get out of work yesterday and go to the gym. I'm using the 16 week 2x sprint program. I've decided to follow it as closely as possible, the way it is organized works perfectly with my schedule. Yesterday I was supposed to run 16 minutes- I was so excited to get in the pool (I was a competitive swimmer for 12 years and it's been 2 years since I've done a swim workout ) - so I swam as well. Despite the fact that I swam a mere 1000 yds, I was pretty tired by the end of the entire run/swim/light lifting workout. It felt Great! I'm going to try and save all my work-outs, please comment if you get a chance!
I also went to City Bikes in Washington D.C. to see about getting slimmer tires, racing bars and shifters for my Hybrid- I think this will be the best and most cost effective option for me. |
