Specialized Women's BG Gel Sport Gloves
If you have problems with the vibrations of the road in your hands, I"d definitely suggest picking up a pair of gel-based gloves from Specialized. I really like these gloves and appreciate their great comfort.

This is an affordable, solid and attractive helmet with great ventilation and comfortable padding. It's lightweight and offers great protection. My only complaint is that it does not have an adjustable visor.

Read MoreZoot Ultra Race Running Shoe
Love these shoes so far. Hope they are as durable as they are comfortable and I will never go back to a "standard" running shoe again.
Update: had to go back to a regular running shoe. The Zoots are great for walking around, but can't run in them. Again; this is a limitation of my body, not of the shoe. Get fitted at a store for these. Hope you can wear them, wish I could too,
Garmin Speed + Cadence Sensor
Does not work indoor on the trainer. I spent way to much time trying to set it up and get it working. Since I am not made of money, I kinda have to deal with it until I can afford to get something else.

This is a great little tool for those of us who have issues starting out too fast on the long swim. It's easy to use and can positively impact your training when used properly.

This product is probably one of the most "no brainer" yet brilliant products on the market. Seems a bit pricey in retail (depending on where you get it) since you're essentially buying a piece of plastic with a velcro watch strap...but well worth the money for the convenience of use in transition. My only issue was that the first 2-3 dozen times I used it, I had difficulty snapping the watch portion in and out of the plastic base.

Looking back, I'm not sure I would've selected these aerobars knowing what I know now. However they're a solid product by a reputable company, just wish there was a bit more adjust ability.

I am a neutral heel striker trying to swich to mid foot striker. I loved my Mizuno Wav 9's bu this years model is wider across the top of the foot soI had to find a replacement. I will be using this to train and a different shoe to race, little on the heavy side. It has nice mid foot support and love the way te heel locks in.

Read MoreNike Air Vomero 2
I was at the Nike Employee store one day and I tried on the Vomero 2 after trying on almost every other running shoe they had. The Vomeros fit me like a glove. I have flat, wide feet and I was afraid that I would have to buy wide shoes. I recommend these shoes for people who, like me, have wide feet and are looking for cushioning properties. I just went back to the employee store yesterday, and purchased 3 more pairs for this season. I'm hoping they don't discontinue this model.
