  • Comments: up until yesterday I didnt have a long sleeved bright neon yellow race shirt - Always good to start the morning with a run followed by a giant breakfast at Perkins ( please remember to tip heavily when dining out on a holiday )

  • Comments: Hung out post race - chatted with some friends - went to perkins with the local tri club - ate with the gal who won the female overall division - watched her eat dry toast and fruit with lemon water and thought " she is fast but leads a terrible existence " as I plowed through my omelet, pancakes and hashbrowns with bacon. Last race before Operation No More Baby Batter happens next week followed by kiddo #4 on the 16th of December. I expect my training to be pretty spotty for the next month or two :)

  • Comments: Sold out with 8k people, my little hometown with a starting line 2.5 miles from my house on a thanksgiving day - I love this little tradition.

  • Comments: This is a very LARGE race, and I am sure it could be better. I really don't know how to convince the walkers to stay the heck out of the way. Maybe have several of them get run over. It is pretty well run, and this year was the first time they made someone run over a timing mat at the half way point to make sure people were not cheating. I was shocked to see several 7-10 year olds had run this in sub 45:00.

  • Comments: One water station (2 miles) that I skipped. We didn't hang around for the post-race awards since Mom had about 50 people coming for dinner in less than 3 hours.

  • Comments: The post race stuff was pretty lame this time. They had cookies, but ran out of bananas very early on. Didn't have much else. I was surprised they didn't do any better.
