  • Comments: No expo associated with the race. I like buying stuff at the race expo. No vendors for spectators to buy from. Not even water. Morning of the race, the people directing traffic did a poor job. Registration and body marking really held racers up outside of transition and delayed the start. On the course there were a lot of volunteers and seemed very organized.

  • Comments: Good race, lotsa volunteers. I am sure i missed something or someone in my RR, saw so many BT peeps, and we cleaned house in the awards Category, winning first in 3 categories a second and a third. Nice to meet Nate and Colin two really freaking fast doods, Colin was nice enough to come up to me and introduce himself, very cool, and the Mass Mafia make you feel so welcomed when you come visit, its like you are family. Enough rambling, hope you enjoyed. Rori, i did not forget about the bike frame info, i will get it to you.

  • Comments: It was a good race. I would prefer the bike course to be closed, but there were no issues from cars. Nice volunteers and well organized. It did start 15 min late, but ran smooth overall

  • Comments: This was a great race. Thanks to Sun Multisport for supporting back of the packers like me. Volunteers were awesome - thanks! Well organized. Great venue. Great course. I hope to do it again next year.

  • Comments: The race began about 15-20 minutes late due to people still in registration. Overall, I feel pretty good about my effort during the race. Crashing is never fun, especially in a race. I used some poor judgement and had to pay for my foolishness. Without the 4 minute penalty, my time was 4:33 and I was in 8th overall. Without the crash my bike time would have been faster and my run probably would have been as well, but I'll never really know. I'll simply have to preform better and make better decisions in my next race if I want to race to my potential. This race was the one-year anniversary of my first triathlon. I did the sprint that coincides with the half last year. Now, if I can make those same gains in my next year, I'll be quite happy!

  • Comments: Not enough water stations for me, but lots for most people. I need to sip while I run or I drink too much too fast. Very hot!!

  • Comments: Great Race, I hope to go under 5 hours next year (-8min on the swim (<35), -20min on the bike (<2:28), and -9min on the run (<1:50).

  • Comments: This race was MUCH better than last year! No tearing down the course before people were done and lots of action around the finishline. This year they had a sprint race too. The sprint went before the 1/2 on the swim. I think it probably would be better to have the sprint start after the half as I didnt get on the roads until almost 9 am and the roads were heavily trafficed on the second loop.If the 1/2 went first ( an hour earlier) there would probably be less traffic.

  • Comments: Should have raced Clyde as I would have finished 3rd :) Although I started at 201 and ended at 196 so I was right on the borderline. Was a bit disturbed that cops and volunteers were absent from the final major road crossing on the curve pre-finish by time I got there. Only 6 hours into race still half the field coming in behind me. Other than that volunteers and course markings were all great.

  • Comments: Aid stations were plentiful, but they could have used more volunteers at them. Another 2-3 people would have been nice. Thankfully on the run I was alone and could yell what I wanted as I approached. Good race, but stretch vs massage? Ice bath was nice. • Comments: We needed some sprayers and sponges on the run course. There was no relief. Some water had ice in it which I could not stomach. But the volunteers were the best.

  • Comments: Good race. Came in first for Athena but was 90 minutes ahead of the 2nd place Athena. Its no fun to win when you're clubbing baby seals. Would have placed 4/26 if I raced AG (30-34). Think that if I want to "race" I made need to register as AG but its a hard call because I like tchotchkies.

  • Comments: They made alot of improvements this year...I came in at almost 7 hours and there were still lots of people hanging around at the end cheering people on. The volunteers were hands down AWESOME!!! Saw Kathy's girls a few times!

  • Comments: It's hard to say. I was at an Ironman branded event a month ago and it was like night and day. Looks like they were short on volunteers, which I guess I was a reason for that, but MAV's husband filled in nicely. Thanks Al. I was a bit disappointed at the finish. There was no one there. No announcer. No real fanfare. I am glad the BT gang was there cheering for everyone. Thanks to Helen and Rudy for making awesome teammates. I am always glad when I get to race with good friends and meeting new ones.

  • Comments: I will say that I was pretty disappointed with the end of this race. Had it not been for my friends and family there would have been no cheering. They didnt even announce your name as you cross the finish.( they do this in most sprint races)No music...no nothing:( I trained very hard for this race, and although I am not terribly speedy I want fanfare when I cross the line. If I do another half ( which I will) I will pick one that acknowledges my accomplishment as I cross the line. They were actually taking down banners shortly after I finished and there were others on the course. I thought this was just rude. There were no port-o-pots out on the course at all. Although I have learned to pee on the bike and run...I really needed one on the run. It just plain sucked! They advertised that they would have endurolytes on the run. They had them at mile 1 and 2 but none after that. I love this course. Its beautiful, the roads are nice, the water is awesome. That said, I would trade

  • Comments: I like the race. Location is beautiful with plenty of parking and great volunteers. It can be a bit lonely on the course with athletes spread out and the run since it is a loop you don't see others like you would on an out and back or multi loop course. BT friends, athletes plus my tri team improved the experience. I'd have like to had a finish line announcer to add to the party fun finish line feel. Also would like port a potties on bike and run course would be extremely helpful and might make neighbors happier.

  • Comments: I would only give this an average rank b\c the way they started us. They put the fastest people last. My age group was behind the 55+ group. Not sure what that was about. I passed people in the water that started 20m before me. Also there were not Porto Potties on the course.

  • Comments: I really like this race despite all the sooper fast people in it. I get to go home and see my parents and spend time on the cape and visit with all my NE BT friends. I love having my coach there. His company is one of the sponsors of the race. Its great to have him there as he knows my triathlon journey best and to be able to share a good day with him is really special. THANK YOU WILL!!!

  • Comments: Race was pretty well done, but for being the "Premier MA half iron distance tri" it should have an accurately measure swim course... or at least close enough for me not to notice. But they had great volunteer support... especially on the bike course, tons of volunteers... it would be impossible to get lost!
