  • Comments: Loved the experience, will probably do it again and fix some of the mistakes I made during the race. Not bad for my first half iron man I suppose.

  • Comments: Good race and well run by Set-up. Nice to have Final Kick on site too. Great weather and really enjoyed the trail portion for the shade.

  • Comments: Set UP events always puts on a great race. I was disapointed in the swim and the lack of bouys. Not to sure if it was due to the last minute change in course or not.

  • Comments: Being local, I'm familiar with the whole course. Having done a number or tri's with Setup, I'm also very familiar with them. I didn't get to experience the full race this time, but I know things were well run from what I saw. In addition, Setup and other volunteers at the race site were very helpful to my parents in getting my stuff back to them, locating me, and getting them to me. They held on to my bike until I could get it. I was helped very quickly out on the course. I know that a race that wasn't well organized couldn't have helped me and my parents so quickly and efficiently.

  • Comments: Overall this was a good confidence builder going into the peak period for IMAZ.. I would definitely do this race again- setup did a terrific job with the race execution, especially since they had to make a late change to the run course for reasons beyond their control.

  • Comments: Great race and quite a beautiful course. The volunteers were great and the police directing traffic did an awesome job. I would love to see a better transition into t1 and the bike course be 56 miles next year instead of 58. Regardless, I'll definitely be doing this one again.

  • Comments: this was a first year event and I thought the race organizers did a great job, there were pleanty of volunteers, on the busiest road of the bike course we had a lane coned off, it was a tough day for racing due to the heat, but a great event anyway

  • Comments: Considering that I had essentially the worst race of my life, and had a harder course than last year, to finish in the same time I did last year really tells me that I would have been able to do so much more, and makes me feel confident that I can finish the Ironman in April (although I do have to say that I'm incredibly nervous about it!)
