  • Comments: Pretty big for a little local race, with 2,100 people total registered for all of the events this year. I love supporting charities like Youthville, a nonprofit trying to end the cycle of fatherlessness. Excellent post race activities with a live band and a great BBQ.

  • Comments: Like Lisa said this race benefits a VERY good cause. And the organization does a wonderful job with this race. I wish some of the other organizations in town would come out and watch how to do it right! Other than a RunWichita event this might be close to the best one in the area. $500 to the winner makes for a very fast finish. The local stud that ran in the Olympic Marathon Trials got out sprinted at the finish line. Or so I hear!

  • Comments: Great race, they were careful about making sure the awards were correct. The crazy event of the day was when they couldn't give the female 5th place winner their cash prize... she was 12 so by high school and college rules she would not be allowed to race as a student after accepting money so they gave her the picture/plaque award and gave the money to 6th place. The other cool aspect of the race is the $20 gift certificate to a local restraunt if you can beat your time from last year. Goes to the top 100 people who better thier time. 75 (+/-) were given the certificate.

  • Comments: A fun, fun, fun race that benefits Youth Horizons - a nonprofit fighting fatherlessness in our local community. Very organized, great atmosphere and great awards.
