  • Comments: The Le Mars YMCA did a good job with this event. They organized things well and they provided plenty of communication. If the training schedule works, I will attempt to do this one again in the future.

  • Comments: great race, kind staff, nice community feel. my two issues: 1. need to have enough water and gatorade for those finishing at the end. they need it as bad or worse than the other participants and they need the respect due to them for finishing 2. need a volunteer at the first turn. even though it was well explained in the prerace meeting, that is all a jumble by the time you start running and it wasn't clear to me or the guy in front of me that we were supposed to turn. if a volunteer had been at the first turn they could have educated us about the very nice and useful street markings and signs. it was a fantastic race!!

  • Comments: It's always fun to get back to my old hometown LeMars for a nicely done race. It's even more fun to race with friends, and I hope more can come with me next year.

  • Comments: LeMars YMCA - Angela has done a great job with this race. Best overall prizes in an event I have been in. 2nd place I got: YMCA bag, plaque, medal, waterbottle, sport shamy towel, light for running/biking, airtank for quick flats on bike...and a few other things! 1st prize was all this stuff with a waterproof mp3/fm player Foold - BY FAR THE BEST! Athletes get a grilled chicken meal aftewards..if you do get fed usually it is brats/hot dogs.

  • Comments: I had a good time, and there are a terrific number of volunteers helping with this small race. Thanks to all of them, as they did a great job. Since this trip doubles as a visit to the grandparents' house for my son, I'll likely be back year-to-year when work schedule allows.
