  • Comments: Go Tri Sports does two of these a year, so they have their system down well. I was impressed at the support for a $40 race. I needed a bike repair at registration, and was helped in seconds. Not only did I have flat tires, I had an engaged rear brake. (I don't ride this bike often.) The people were great. I would consider the long trip again to visit with friends the same weekend as a Beach Bum Tri. It was also very nice to have a venue where family and friends could play on the beach while I took forever and a day to complete a sprint. I also thought the trophies looked very unique, not that I'd ever win one, but it wasn't the usual sports trophy.

  • Comments: This was a neat format, everything on the beach. The beach was hard packed and you could run pretty fast on it. This was an easy going fun race. The trophies were monkey heads carved from coconuts.
