  • Comments: Love this race, love this venue but why don't they ever have any beer left when I finish?? I worked just as hard as everybody else (maybe harder since I'm old and fat) Race report: http://anetmarie.livejournal.com/61246.html#cutid1

  • Comments: Overall this is a good race. The bike course is probably the best in the state. 2 stop packet pickup is horrible. Not enough toilets/port-o-lets.

  • Comments: Great race, I plan on returning next year and finishing in under 1:30:00. Everybody said the race bag was worth your entry fee and it was the best goody bag I've ever received for a race (1 of 4).

  • Comments: As always, a good race, the biggest one I do regularly. Great swag, beautiful challenging course, well-organized and run. Probably continue to do this one every year. Do want to complain about the food, rarely is food bad enough that I throw it away, but they had some nasty red beans, that I took a couple bites of and tossed, then some homemade cookies that taste like sawdust. Ended up that a hot dog, some Hostess cupcakes and a Coke were about all I could stomach.

  • Comments: I hear they always run out of beer and they sure did at this one. Oh well, the idea of Cold Beer looming ahead of me was very motivating! I loved the ice cold towels. who cares if they reused them? I LOVED the volunteer with the pickup and the music.

  • Comments: This was a fun race. My first race in three races where I was not sick or hurt!!! I LOVED the bike course, and I realized this am that I set a new PR for fastest bike split for me in a sprint! Although I am very disappointed in my run, I did beat my OA goal time. Goal: 1:52:50 Time: 1:47:53

  • Comments: I really felt great today. I pushed myself and kind of just let myself go and see what my body could do. Wow, what a difference. I think I'm going to do that more often. It was really hot but shaded and I was affraid I might melt down and be limited by my back in the end. From now on, I need to trust myself to push myself more with my training in general. I can get myself so caught up in the numbers (HR, exact times etc) and if my back will hurt or not, and what I should be doing to tweak this and that. I'm beginning to find a happy median with it all and have stopped overanalyzing. I think I'll surprise myself at Hi Fi Tri. Just keep training, just keep training, have fun, just keep training....

  • Comments: As usual, the race swag was awesome and well worth the entry fee. Travel to this race is expensive considering it's just a sprint and there are alot of local races (Jack's Generic) one the same day. However, there is something about this race that just makes it special and one not to miss. I love the course (hate the water) and I still have some revenge to take at this race. I will be back for year #5 next year. Here are some the pics: http://picasaweb.google.com/mkmbharris/RiverCities2008

  • Comments: This race is fun and the swag is the absolute best. Plus you get a medal for finishing. The only drawback is how crowded it is, but on the other hand, I find that kind of fun too.

  • Comments: With all the hype over this race, they have a lot to deliver, and they did!! From start to finish this was an awesome event. Organized, great schwag, nice venue. I think this was the 28th year of the race so they obviously have gotten it right. 2 complaints...They did not write ages on your leg. I like being able to see people in my AG as I pass them :). Also, they did not split Athena by 0-39 and Masters. In masters I would have been 4th, 3 minutes out of third so no hardware. I am happy with 10th out of 25 though. We will be back next year!
