  • Comments: They actually had some decent post race raffles so I hung out - didn't win anything though. Met a few friends after the race and talked about the upcoming races. What to do, what to do.........

  • Comments: The race was well organized and there were plenty of volunteers policing the transition area which was nice. I say this because it’s nice not to have to tell someone that they racked there bike the wrong way or that their milk crate doesn’t belong in the transition area. It leaves you to focus on your race.

  • Comments: ran this race last year, and this year.. and will do it again. it's really a great beginning course, and a course that you can shoot for a PR.

  • Comments: Great race, although packet pickup and race forced 2 rather long drives deep into Long Island's North Fork. This fact alone may prevent me from doing this race again. A lot of first timers at this race which was very inspiring! I am very pleased with my bike, somewhat pleased with swim and know that I must keep working on run! It's all good though as I am still having a lot of fun doing this! Next up is my first ever Oly distance...oh boy!!

  • Comments: Definitely going to do this race again next year. Going to skip the 10 yards of mulch the day before.. train more for speed, and work on transition speed. Looking forward to Montauk sprint next week. Man, I wish these races were at 6PM and not 6AM. I'm not a morning person.
