  • Comments: Ran out of advertised medals for race. I pre registered and received a substitute medal. Very disappointed in that outcome! However, race was well organized, police and volunteers at all intersections to direct traffic and keep racers safe. Outstanding job!

  • Comments: The biggest bummer was how long the awards took after the race. With duathletes, aquabikers, first timers, clydesdales, athlenas, relays.... then the triathlon! Then they would stop to pull raffles and would have to pull like 5 before the prize would be claimed. It took forever to get my AG award!!!! Also race did not start on time. Overall though volunteers were great and encouraging.

  • Comments: Pretty good race, and pretty organized given the venue, which I thought would be a disaster given we started the whole thing and finished smack in the middle of Hightstown. But DQ pulled it off nicely. I'll probably do it again.

  • Comments: Darek has done a fantastic job with this race in just 3 short years and lo and behold it didn't rain this year. Will continue to do this every year.

  • Comments: The race was much more organized with a much improved bike route from last year. If we can just get a year without rain I could give this race an honest assessment.

  • Comments: So my feelings toward this race are sour for a few reasons. First there was the unnecessary delay at the start. Then there was an overly long and not very clear explanation of the course as we were all freezing in our bathing suits in the rain. Third, the run course, while fun, had no mile markers and none of the volunteers knew what mile they were standing at. This is sort of absurd if you are at all planning to build to a strong finish. Fourth, there is no way that this was a full 5k. Fifth, the post-race food was not exactly what most post-race athletes want to eat: coffee, bacon and eggs. I think I am not alone in wishing that there were just some basics like bagels, cookies and gatorade. Finally, the awards were delayed more than an hour. While it is noble to wish to let the last athlete finish before handing out awards, it's not really a wise use of time, especially on a cold and rainy day. I have to say, I was expecting alot more with an $85 entry fee...

  • Comments: 1st time race with only about 3 months of set up time from race inception. The good news is the race organizer is actively soliciting feedback for improving the race. Since it's so close will probably give it another try next year.

  • Comments: As a firt time event for the race organizers, they did a great job and were definitely open to suggestions/comments for next year. With the exception of those volunteers not being at that last turn on the run, the volunteers were AMAZING and one reason why I did not quit on the run. I will definitely consider doing this race again next year.

  • Comments: I liked this race overall. Tons of enthusiastic volunteers helping out, even in the rain. My biggest beef was with the post-race stuff. I had to hang around for two hours after my finish to hear the results. Now, I know they were waiting until the last finisher was done to start announcing, but even then there was a long delay. I think the timing company was being slow. Another complaint: the food. Theo's Tavern was supposed to be providing a "post-race meal." This consisted of a small breakfast burrito. There were also oranges and bananas. Not quite the spread I was expecting when I heard "meal." I would definitely do this race again, but I won't be staying around for the results next time.
