  • Comments: Another great event from BBSC. I'm new to the sport but this was my second race with them and I have no complaints. Lots of support and after race activities. They debut a new timing system with live updates at each checkpoint. After race printouts were available and easy to obtain.

  • Comments: Due to the cold water (at least for training prior to the race), the loose gravel on the run course, and the dry, dusty, hot and crowded post-race area with nowhere to sit and relax, I'm not sure I will ever do this race again. Also, lack of volunteers led to unmanned drink stations which is not cool at all considering how hot it got as the day went on.

  • Comments: You finish the race on dirt. All of the post race tents, etc. were on dirt and rock. Really no place to sit unless you went to post race tent to eat. Very crowded there

  • Comments: Good Race, glad I did it. I came in 2nd in Clydes 40+....not bad....then about 10 hours later, I ran my 5.8 miles in Pahrump and ave 7:32 per mile for my leg of the relay. It was a good day and night. I hope to be back next year. I am doing Kokopelli in St George in September. I will be doing the Olympic course...we'll see how well i do.

  • Comments: This was a GREAT race. They finally added porta potties on the bike course, even for the Sprint. There was even aid stations for the Sprint bike course. Of all the tris I've done, there was no aid stations for the bike course. There was a girl just in front of me that grabbed the gel from the volunteer, so I didn't get the chance to try to grab something from a volunteer on the bike. Oh well! The company also puts on Pumpkinman, and I remember when I did Pumpkinman, there was NO aid stations on the bike course or porta potties...and I had to go #2 badly. So I'm real glad that they listened to what need to be fixed. I definitely would like to do this next year and KILL IT! :-)

  • Comments: Next year, stretch before and after race and definitely sign up for massage Put more mental thought (pep talk) into checklists for transitions - be fast, fast, fast Learn how to swim Fit bike better and learn how to take hills in the seat Get regular run pace down about 6 min/mile

  • Comments: I was warned this wasn't a good first tri, but I did it anyway. My only disappointment with volunteers was that I felt the swim volunteers really were not trained well at all and did not fully appreciate the seriousness of this part of the sport. Two volunteers in kayaks gave me very confusing directions when I was already a bit disoriented. Plus, when I cramped and called for help, I was on my own; a volunteer paddled over to cheer on her friend despite calling to her directly. Not good. The rest of the event, fortunately was so much fun, I would actually do this event again.

  • Comments: First Race. I have Multiple Sclerosis, so I did what I could with my Physical limitation. Mental, emotional, will, effort - all good! It's a start, will only get better.

  • Comments: First tri so really nothing to compare it to. Lacking volunteers (30 cancelled day before race) but they still put on a good show with what they had. Challanging course. Would love to do it next year.

  • Comments: I imagine some people will rate this race low because it wasn't very organized, but knowing the course before hand helps beat the disorganization. I wish there was more water on the run, and I really wish they would get off of the damn trail.

  • Comments: The guy who they hired to do announcements was a piece of work. He said a lot of obnoxious and rude things about us racers in a feeble attempt to be funny. Mostly he was a jackass. The rest of the race went great. No massage available which I could have used, oh well. I'd like to do this one again.
