  • Comments: A greay day, and I was very pleased I stayed true to the intent of the day. I kept my training rides at a strong effort, didn't back off knowing I had to race. Kept the purpose of the day at the forefront, even though I knew I had a very good chance to win this race. Yes, it's a small, local YMCA triathlon. Truth is, though, even through the field as a whole is not the strongest, the top end has some good atheltes, KQers and guys who are fast.

  • Comments: I think they did a great job although, I have nothing to compare it to. All in all it was a great experience and I think will help me work towards my next races. Now, I just hope that I can stay healthy!!

  • Comments: I really enjoyed this race. The setting is picturesque for the run and the swim is well layed out and sighting is reasonable even without prescription goggles

  • Comments: 7th time I've done this race, 5th time solo. Great location and staff make it a super event. It sells out quickly, and that's why!

  • Comments: well, let me first say I love this race. Cant get any more local than this. Saw a ton of people I know. And I hung with some guys I clearly admire in the sport. I recall last year volunteering at a tri and seeing some of these very guys kick butt. I love this sport and I am just pumped that I am doing well. Improvement needs to continue. I need to train more. I need to suck it up at the end of races. I need to hurt more at the end. My wife, as usual, did a smoken job with the pictures and supporting me during the race. anytime she saw me, she gave me a huge supporting yell....seeing her and the kids on the course is always a jolt of energy.

  • Comments: This race is special to me - it was my first Tri back in 2002. The YMCA staff and volunteers were super helpful and very nice. I made a point to thank everyone I saw who helped! The field is getting more competitive year by year, and it sells out quickly once the registration opens - if you want to get in next year, don't wait to register!
