  • Comments: The race was great. Volunteers were awesome. Amazing amount of spectators. I wish the bike portion was on completely maintained pavement as a few km of it were on poor pavement and I didn't enjoy that. Otherwise it was great!

  • Comments: Won 3rd AG (30-39) and got 150$ gift cert for shoes/sandals! Perfect warm up for IMC in a few weeks. Disk and tires were good.

  • Comments: This was a fabulous race! Was great for the family as well with the wonderful location and the lap set-up they got to see Mom frequently and play at the park/beach.

  • Comments: Not my favourite bike/run. run course was on sidewalks which isn't fun, but i recognize as neccessary. Bike course I already commented on.

  • Comments: I have done this race 3 times now... not sure if I will do it again - I don't like the setup of the run course aid stations, and they ran out of water.

  • Comments: I had a few issues with this race. It's a great organization, the course is okay, they have lots of great prizes. But, many people were commenting that the course distances (on all segments) were off. Not sure I'd do it again.

  • Comments: I didn't hang around too much. I wanted to get home, shower and have a cold beer. There were still lots of people out on the course and I didn't want to hang around for 3 hours for awards and final results.

  • Comments: It just takes so long to get to the food/awards due to start times and straggler participants. I don't want to leave early but pushing into 3-4 o'clock from getting up at 6 is a bit of a stretch. Race definately has more hardcores than the Coral Springs. I believe this is a qualifying race for worlds or something.

  • Comments: Poor security in transition area. Open to public. Anyone could easily walk off with a bike. Very congested on bike course with vehicular traffic, several big trucks on course causing havoc. Had to change rear tire tube twice because of steel belt from blown tires (big trucks) puncturing through my tire.

  • Comments: Road and sidewalk construction probably bothered some people. I saw at least 4 people fixing flats - could have been due to the bad sections of road we had to jump over. I don't think the race organizer has much control over this - the City of Calgary chooses when to do the construction. 12th in Age Group (Men 40-49) 38th in Gender 51st Overall Lake Chaparral is a beautiful community. I'd come back to race this again.
