  • Comments: Good race. Lots of volunteers and supplies, although I heard they ran out of cups for water on the run course as the day went on. Not a whole lot of after race activities, but it was just a small sprint.

  • Comments: Good race, well organized, good volunteers. However, I'm not sure this particular venue is the best for a race like this. Transition was very awkward. Parking is always an issue at state parks. And there wasn't all that much going on after the race. It is a relatively smaller race, though, so I guess that is to be expected. Good overall. I'll come back when I can climb better. I'm still not sure I gave it my all. It's the next day, and while I can feel that I did something yesterday, it's not anywhere near what I thought I'd feel. I'm not sure that's the best way to determine my effort, but it's something. I'll be looking back at my heartrate, and seeing exactly where I was, and if it's where I should have been. Right now, I'm thinking I went to easy, which is really frustrating me.

  • Comments: I thought the race was just ok from a management stand point. Food was average at best, ran out of water and HEED under the pavilion. Small stuff. I wish they would mark the run course out of transition better. Lots of people were blocking people leaving the race while trying to watch people finish. They have to take another look at this part of the race.

  • Comments: This was my first tri and a great experience. I placed second in the novice group, which was a huge and pleasant surprise. I know the fact that it was all female and a small group (only 73 participants) helped make it a great first time experience.
