  • Comments: This is a great event on one of my favorite courses. A very scenic run along the lake. With 1800+ it is starting to get a bit congested on the path. This is my third year and will continue to make it a tradition.

  • Comments: This is a great early season running event. The course is about as fast as you will find and the aid stations were in the right places. A lot of grumbling at the start line about delaying the race 15 minutes for latecomers but I guess they were trying to be fair to them. There are a lot of people that get funneled in on just a few roads so things do get backed up.

  • Comments: I just love this event--so close to home, where I run all the time....easy peasy and I love the race directors and others that work with them. Plus I always see so many friends out there. It's a good day. This was the first half marathon since my breast reduction and I have to say it was incredible to finish up and not be chafed, bleeding, have neck, back, shoulder, back pain. ECSTATIC!

  • Comments: The 15-minute start delay was a drag. And I prefer running from Issy to Redmond vs. Redmond to Issy. Wish we could run a bigger loop around Marymoor or Lake Samm Park instead of Disneyland-snake-line to add distance. Still, I'd run it again as it's in my back yard and a nice race.

  • Overall course based on my ability:

  • Comments: Great race and the organization was excellent. Aid stations may have been a little sparse (I didn't use them, but I suppose some could've used another one appropriately spaced). As mentioned before, the out-and-back section was a killer, but I don't see an easy way around that since there aren't that many opportunities to add distance.

  • Comments: I might re-think that last portion of the race. It's pretty tough mentally and physically at the end of a race.

  • Comments: It's been fun watching this race grow year by year! My friend is the RD and I am really proud of the work he has done to make it a top-notch event. I'll definitely keep doing it. It's great to have an early season half marathon on the books!

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too easy

  • Comments: I said it was "Too easy" because there really were no hills at all. I picked this race because I haven't been running much, so the lack of hills is a plus, but my wimpy decision doesn't change the fact that it was an easy course.

  • Comments: Evergreen Trail Runs puts on great events, and the timing was by BuDu Racing, another great group of people. I love being on hugging level with the RD as well as the timing peeps. :) I TOOK ALMOST 8 MINUTES OFF OF MY PREVIOUS 1/2 MARATHON PR!!!! That in itself makes me giddy. My goal was 1:50-1:55. Yay!!
