  • Comments: This is actually my slowest sprint and i could have done better if all the elements i needed pre-race which were all can be attributed to my decisions. I am the one who decided to race after work. RD already gave me slack by letting come to transition late. I ate a few said hi to friends i found there and left i am tired and i wanted to go to sleep since i am working the night after the race. I am surprised when the result came out that i am ranked one in my group division. Woot! Woot! i did average at best and i got a trophy.!!!

  • Comments: For a second year race, it was good. Organized and on time - the two best things! I don't like open racking transitions but oh well. The thing that could use the most improvement was signage. Bike signage was not good at all and there were no mile markers on the run course. There might have been more signs and the wind blew them down, but of course, that's not helpful either. I heard a lot of people had bad races and I can see where that was possible. I had a good race though and am very pleased with how I did.

  • Comments: For a sprint tri, I think there should be at least 2 aid stations for the run. One at the start of the run and one near the middle. The whole thing seemed as if a few people got together and said, "Let's put on a triathlon next month." It was the inaugural race so maybe next year there will be some improvement. I doubt I will do this race again.

  • Comments: The only thing that I saw that made people mad was that in the packet, the transition area was said to have designated spots. That wasn't the case. I didn't mind because I got there right when it opened and had a great spot.

  • Comments: Was a little less than impressed with this race. The race packet was minimal, no technical shirt, no finishers medal, no post race food (though later I heard someone found some kinda rice/sausage/egg stuff). Would like to see a little more next year. I would do it again though because I train out there a lot so I am familiar with the area. I also heard that when Derek and Sarah left transition there was NO ONE there checking numbers or bikes although there was when I left. That is pretty unacceptable since we rely on the event company to keep our gear safe while we are participating.

  • Comments: I thoroughly enjoyed this race. The only real nitpick was the lack of water pre-race. Once the race started, however, I thought things went great, the course was excellent and the conditions really couldn't be beaten. The course was well marked and easy to follow. I was a bit nervous about it b/c the website wasn't very good and there were a few mild course changes at the last minute, but again they were well marked and easy to follow. The volunteers and the police did a great job controlling and directing traffic, as I had no issue bouncing out of and back into the neighborhood across traffic.

  • Comments: Need more volunteers and water stations (near transition/start of run). Good first effort, sure it will improve over time.
