  • Comments: This was my first race longer than a 5K since IMMD. Glad I signed up early because otherwise I might have bailed. It was a fun race and a good start to the 2024 season.

  • Comments: Very well run event - cannot hold the weather against them. The expo and pasta dinner were well done. Guest speakers Bill Rodgers and Greg Myers were both entertaining and informative - and I got to see one of them out on the course during the race. Volunteers were awesome to stay out there in dismal conditions and the Barnstable Police were extremely supportive.

  • Comments: The water on the course tasted like pond water. I thought I was going to gag the first time I drank it. I went for the Gatorade after that. The race is well done. I felt sorry for those volunteers out there late in the race. It was cold, rainy and windy.

  • Comments: Pretty course, good volunteers, probably wouldn't run the full here again jsut because the course empties out and it gets so lonely. Oh--and I didn't get an offcial time. My chip fell off and mile 10 and I put it in my pocket and it didn't register at the finish line. Grrrrsss to me for that.

  • Comments: Not sure there are enough aid stations if I was going to rely on them. Wore my Fuel Belt and brought gels so I was able to run through each one. 1' 33" off PR that I set on this course back in 2003 when I was a "runner" and logging 30+ miles per week. Given the focus of my running has been more on about getting ready for IMLP I couldn't be happier with how I did today.

  • Comments: We could not have asked for better weather for this event. The temp was just right and there was little or no wind to speak of. This definitely worked in my favor as I think the chances of not finishing would have been very real if it had been cold and windy. It was so great to hve a big crowd of BT peeps there to run with and to cheer me on. Thank you all for staying til the end. It made all the difference.

  • Comments: The spacing of the aid stations is a real problem and the misappropriation of the volnuteers at the aid stations was also a problem. Maybe it had something to do with the weather the night before but who knows. It was also be nice if they had food on the course but this is a low budget race so you can't ask for too much. The volunteers were terrific and the course is very scenic.
