  • Comments: Really fun local race. Sorry to see that it has shrunk in size. I hope this is just a one year thing and that it grows again. I don't know if the change in dates has hust this race. It used to be many folks first race of the season and now it falls on a weekend that has other events competing with it.

  • Comments: It was good, well managed. The people were helpful and courteous. The sound system needs to be improved; either the speakers need to be placed somewhere else or the guy with the mike needs to speak up. After event fare was good, but I would of liked some fruit. The staff was nice, although one gal at T1, where we mounted our bikes could of been a little nicer; instead of being firm and clear, she sounded loud and commanding, like she was annoyed by us lol.

  • Comments: My key goal coming into the race was to break 1:45 (after 1:50 in the last two years), plus I was hoping to at least place if not win the Clyde division -->> MISSIONS ACCOMPLISHED ;-) Was a great race for me overall Would have been 14 out of 24 in M35-39, very dense top group in terms of performance, proves the point of Clydesdales especially on the trail run pretty well in "hard numbers" my opinion

  • Comments: Hard race. Fun race. I could DO it, just not as fast as most others. I can improve on my training and lose weight and see how much faster I can get in a year.

  • Comments: Very good race and well organize event overall despite the nature of the course (rough bike pavement, limited transaction area, rough running course, etc) I don't realize the swim is 880 yard until the post-race chat! I will see how my training go before aiming at OLY distance at the end of the season.

  • Comments: I was completely surprised about how well I performed on the run (that is of course all relative) Would have been 32nd in M35-39 AG, but winning the Clydes was of course great, even though it feels undeserved, given how little I am training this year Will come back! UPDATE: someone else was rated in the Clydesdale division and smoked us all! So I turned out to be second place, still great of course!

  • Comments: In my head I swore off AA next year. But now that the pain has subsided and I have a full season ahead of me, I have decided to come back and show AA what I got. This time prepared to run with or without socks, and ready to kick some major biking hills azz. I am glad that my first race was so difficult. I do not think that I would have the same respect for the sport if I did a smaller race. I know now what it feels like to struggle out there. I needed that.

  • Comments: The condition of the roads was a serious negative. Real fear of a blowout. Park access is dicey with same access for bike & run and general park-goers.

  • Comments: Turned out to be number 5 out of 22 Clydesdales under 40... The run is REALLY tough, and of course that is my worst discipline. But I will come back!

  • Comments: This was a great race. I can't believe they bill it as "beginner friendly" though!! Its TOUGH! Well run though and I enjoyed every minute- through gritted teeth. Great post-race lunch and good quality BT hang out fest.

  • Comments: Good race for training and beginners. It was my first swim and was good to try for a first swim. Biking and running are very hilly so it is good to test where you are in your training this early in the season.

  • Comments: Great race overall, for a number of reasons: * Fantastic volunteer support from AA tri club and bikesport * Competitive race - lots of tri clubs and elite athletes * Great venue - perfect lake, decent transition, great trails * Awesome BT Peeps - Lisa, Dana, Greg, Trix, Jean, Jedidiah * Alien hookups What more could a young man want? I'll be back next year. Maybe I'll be in shape, and maybe there'll be cell phone coverage. Or both. :)

  • Comments: Well run race. Would have been nice to see a little more food--post race was watermelon, pizza, pop and cookies, unless all the good stuff was gone before I got there :)
