  • Overall course based on my ability: Just right

  • Comments: There was not reallly alot of organization throughout the race. From the the swim course bouys to the run. I think in general it was just poorly organized. People were driving on the run course and walking/standing, walking their dogs etc. while there were still racers on the course. I don't think I'll do this one next year.

  • Comments: Overall this was a good time. I enjoyed myself in spite of the trouble makers. I would recommend this to anyone. It was my first Olympic event.....I am pleased.

  • Comments: Overall very good. Much of the roads on the bike were quite rough, and the transition racks a couple of inches too low for my tastes, but overall a nice race.

  • Comments: ok race. entry fee cheap so cant have huge expectations for post race activities and food. biggest beef was the marking of the swim and the road conditions for the bike. not much you can do about either.

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too hard

  • Comments: I listed this course as "too hard" b/c it kicked my tail, but really, it's great. I mean, we do this for the challenge, right? Awesome organization and volunteers, beautiful site, the only mark down is for the harsh roads. I'd like to do this race again anyway - and 4:46:13 is officially my time to beat! But first I'd better get that derailleur adjusted.

  • Comments: I liked the race (except for the shirts- they were a lame baby blue color) and I could have done without the rough roads. However, I loved the cold water and the double loop run course was cool. I'd do this race again but start doing hills (Damn loop or the ATC long ride) starting in January.

  • Overall course based on my ability: Just right

  • Comments: It's a small, decent race. I probably won't do it again because the roads on the bike course are really rough pavement. Of course, if we have a crowd like we did this year, I might not be able to resist! Check my album for pics. I didn't take many, but what I did is there.

  • Comments: Some people may think this sounds hokey, but at this point in my tri-life, this was my Ironman. I don't think it hit me until Derek and I got in the car to leave. We were talking about how far I had come in the last year. One year ago, I couldn't do any of the three events. Today, I swam a mile for the first time, I rode 27 miles for the first time and I rode and ran/walked in hills for the first time. How incredible is that? But let me say, I couldn't have done it without the help and encouragement of Derek and Haley. Like he does with everything I say I can't do, Derek is always there trying to get it through my thick skull that I can and will succeed in anything I set my mind to. After this race, I think I might be a little easier to convince. He was a great jockstrap and I will gladly do the same for him next year. (I've tentatively decided not to do this race again because of the crappy roads). And Haley...the person who got me to register for this race in the first
