  • Comments: My goal was to win age group. The guy that won had beat me by over 2 minutes in our last race. Since he beat me by 11 seconds this race it was a huge improvement.

  • Comments: Why no beer garden? Bold City was at the last one and I was really looking forward to a post-race draft. Generally great race though - pleased at how comfortable I felt in my first ocean swim, faster than I expected on the bike and run segments. Good times all around.

  • Comments: DRC was great, very professonal, voulenteers and officals were very respectful to each other and particpants. Race director kept things moving and on time. Results came quick, Live music was fun, and the beer was cold. Looking forward to my next DRC race.

  • Comments: Race started a little late resulting in very poor buoy placement for the swim. Swimming in waves is not an issue but it should be a swim not a water run. Otherwise it was a very well organized and fun race in a very nice venue and I will do it again.

  • Comments: Race started late so surf was breaking right on the bout line. Awards cermony was almost an hour later than planned. Other than that this is a really fun course.

  • Comments: They changed the transition area from the grass field to the parking lot which made the run from swim to transition way long. Pre race: they were handing out timing chips as you entered the transition area and the body marking was just outide of transition entrance. It got very crowded and confusing at peak times.

  • Comments: Although I didn't have any problems, my wife and others said there were several athletes that got off course at teh end of the run. The end of the run was a bit ackward with a run to the end of the road, U-turn that took you back towards transition but had a quick left turn to finish. Volunteer coordinator seemed to be a little on a power trip. She sounded very condescending the few times I heard her giving instructions to body markers and transition area monitors.

  • Comments: NO RACE CHIP! Should have registered as FAT TIRE - would have taken first by 5 min!
