  • Comments: OK for the bad news. After finishing I (along with 1000's) figured I'd walk down to Market St and get something to eat or drink. No such thing. Walked a couple miles for nothing as they were closed. Went back and caught the shuttle back to Mt Pleasant. My hotel was at the foot of the bridge and the shuttle dropped us a paltry 4 miles away. Soooo I enjoyed another long walk as there were no cabs or local buses. Everything else was good. The course is awesome. I've never been in a run with this many people and it is unbelievable. From up on the bridge I turned and looked back and the runners looked like a 2 mile long human organism snaking along the road. A friend of mine and I tracked our distance to see how far you'd run around other people and the distance and the time adds up as you are constantly weaving to maintain a steady pace or the pace you desire. We both came up with an extra 2/10 th to nearly 1/4 mile extra. I will probably do this race again but I'll have my return logistics

  • Comments: Get there earlier and get closer to the front. Had to do a lot of dodging for the first two miles.

  • Comments: Everyone was so nice during this race! I met a lot of people and everyone was really happy during the event. Next year, I would suggest they patrol where the walkers start. The first two miles was spent dodging and weaving them.
