  • Comments: HFP puts on an excellent (if not sometimes overwhelmingly well-attended) race. The weather was near-perfect, overcast and cool - the only tradeoff being wet roads and wet, muddy running. With the less-than-hour away location and time of year, I look forward to doing this race again.

  • Comments: I have to hand it to HFP. I had almost given up on them but this was much improved from the last race I did with them in 2009. I appreciated that the prayer service wasn't done over the PA as in years past. I also was glad the timing seemed to work.

  • Comments: The bike route kept changing leading up to race day. The swimming course wasn't communicated the best and a lot of people were short-cutting. Post race food was very good and the water on the run was located in good spots.

  • Comments: Nice race, biggest event so far for me. Met some BT folks and had fun dispite learning that I need to work more. Best parts, a smoot swim and faster than before T1 and T2.

  • Comments: Race was ran very well. They probably should have stationed a volunteer at the first fork on the bike route, as I saw a couple people on my way back in that turned left where they should have gone straight, and were starting to do the bike course in reverse. A volunteer there probably would have helped those riders. I was glad I looked at the course ahead of time, so I knew that I went straight at Wilson Road, and would come back through there later. There were a lot of conflicting marks on the roads from other area races too. Not HFP's problem, but just 1 more volunteer at that intersection would have helped a lot of people I'm sure.

  • Comments: I had a great first triathlon, everyone was very helpful with any questions, and supportive along the route. I've trained pretty hard leading up to the race, but inexperienced bikers might have had a hard time on the bicycle course given the difficult hills.

  • Comments: good fun. well run. The results were posted online the evening of the race! The T-shirt is gorgeous - a red technical. I can't wait to race this one again next year--- without a month's rest period!

  • Comments: Race didn't start on time, but the crowd was the best. It was a fun race and, at times, felt more like a festival.. just like I like it! Oh yea, did I mention I won the Women's Mountain Bike category?? Still waiting for my medal.. hehe :)

  • Comments: This was a SPECIAL race because my 21 year old daughter, Laura, ran the sprint du -- it was her first race. So while I'll put stuff about me here too, I wanted to brag about my kid. She works for Jeff at On The Run in Lebanon (Which is right next door to Wheelie Fun -- our favorite bike store!!). If you're in the store...tell her she kicks b***. Thanks again to Shannon and HFP and the sponsors for helping us keep healthy and keep smiling!!!!
