  • Comments: This was my first race. My goal was to finish without stopping and in under 35 minutes, both goals were accomplished. I know 5k is not very far at all, but I'm still proud of my finish. I completed the race about 8 minutes ahead of my dad, going in I thought he was going to kick my butt, so that was also a confidence boost. I'm really looking forward to more races.

  • Comments: It's about time I broke the 30:00 5k barrier. I was pleasantly surprised that I came in at 28:40 and not the 29:30 range I was anticipating. Does this mean I'm no longer in the back of the pack!?
