  • Comments: The pick of race packages was a mess, the shuttle service to get there was shut down, and the volunteers had no idea waited for a hour then was told to walk, not a good way to start the experience but over all it all worked out, good time, ok result, learned some things, would suggest this course to any first timers oput there. • Comments: the only thing sad is the fact that, even if they asked my t-shirt size when i registered wich is large or Xlarge back in feb. they had only small and med when i came to get my race bag. they ran out of shirts a full day before the race and would not accomodate me with a men's t-shirt. this is very disapointing for (slow) runner like me. I am waiting for an answer to the e-mail i sent to tell them how disapointed i was not to be able to proudly display my accomplishement at the gym.

  • Comments: Everything was just pitch-perfectly organized. It was such a huge event but nothing took a long time, not even the woman's bathroom lines. I would really like to see water stations at every 1km, perhaps not as big as the one's at every 3km's. There were sprinklers and sponges soaked in water at key points, too. So many people were cheering and encouraging us on. The tshirt they gave us is high quality, we were able to get our medals engraved with our name and time. One of the best races I've ever gone to.

  • Comments: This was part 2 of the Bytown 171 big training weekend. 40Km bike, followed by the ING Ottawa Half Marathon. Felt surprisingly good when I woke up. 40k bike (cut short due to a crash in the group) was a nice warmup prior to the half marathon.

  • Comments: I love this race. The course is easy. Lots of volunteers, lots of spectators. The weather can be a bit warm. Running along the canal is nice. Ottawa is a great city, I love it. Now, 2 days later, I feel like I ran a marathon instead of a half..complete with duck walk and doing stairs one at a time. I've never been this sore after a half. ????? it's weird.

  • Comments: I love Ottawa... it was my first marathon in 2000 and I've run the full twice and the half four times. I'll be back next year.

  • Comments: It was hot! This was my first Half Marathon. I was a little slower than I hoped, but experienced runners also said that the heat was a factor. Great event!
