  • Comments: This was a nice race. I really enjoyed it, but it could have been a bit better organized. We got no information until the day before the race. The walk from the designated parking lot was well over 20 minutes. The timing company failed a lot of people's times, even to where they were calling people's names admitting to giving them the wrong chip. Yes, this race had its faults, but overall I enjoyed it, and I will be back next year.

  • Comments: Races are soley based on time...i wish these chip timing companies would invest in better equipment as much as we invest our time at getting ready for these races.. ...i know im beating this dead horse to death when it comes to timing..its happened to me numerous times and it really sux to work hard and have the times jacked up like they are....

  • Comments: I like this race, and will do it again. I think the other Tri's that occur right around the same time have hurt attendance, which is too bad. Well run, and fun.

  • Comments: Best I've been in, had finisher metals, warm pizza and cold beer, along with long sleeve shirts, coozies and other stuff. You could tell they were in year 19, very organized with lots of volunteers.

  • Comments: I don't need to show up 30 minutes before transition opens. I feel like I would be better at longer distances because I don't feel like I'm "in my groove" until the end of the bike and run. In order to do that though, I need to work on my swim a lot.

  • Comments: I dropped 18 minutes according to my watch, 19 mins according to race officials, Overall persoal race results were good. There is still room for improvement. I dropped 3 minutes from my time from when I left Firethorne to when I got home. Mental preparation was subpar. I visualized each event but failed to link each event to see the big picture. I did not break down each phase enough to transition into the next phase. Prime example was the bike transition: I pushed hard and improved my bike time. The first mile of the run suffered for it. T1 was unorganized. I made an in race decision to wear my Under Armour shirt. This was smart but decision process slowed me down. Leave as few of in race decisions as possible. Considering change to Over 40's out of Clydesdales.
