1250 Yard Beginner Swim Workouts

This month, we’re doing slightly fewer drills and slightly more distance. Focus on completing the workouts and notice the changes to your stroke.

Practice these three workouts each week for 4 weeks. This month, we’re doing slightly fewer drills and slightly more distance.
 
We will just touch on picking up speed at this point. Focus on completing the workouts and notice the changes to your stroke.

Each month the workouts will get progressively more challenging and go from drill-intensive workouts to more interval-intensive, although there will always be drills in every workout written specifically for triathlon success!

Workouts are all quantified in yards. If you swim in a 25 or 50 meter pool, keep in mind that you will be doing a bit extra with each workout. Each months' workouts will also come with a glossary of terms at the end so you don't get confused.

Feel free to modify the workouts as needed, but do your best to complete everything.

Day 1
Warm Up: 300, every 3rd length kick on your side. Alternate Right Side/Left Side per kicking length. [.....]
