2000 Yard Beginner Swim Workouts
This month, we’re continuing drills but shifting to a bit more swimming. The sets are similar to last month with the extra yardage. The focus will be on breathing.
Practice these three workouts each week for 4 weeks. This month, we’re continuing drills but shifting to a bit more swimming. The sets are similar to last month with the extra yardage. The focus will be on breathing, and we will continue to work on stroke length and speed.
Workouts are all quantified in yards. If you swim in a 25 or 50 meter pool, keep in mind that you will be doing a bit extra with each workout. Each months' workouts will also come with a glossary of terms at the end so you don't get confused.
Feel free to modify the workouts as needed, but do your best to complete everything.
Warm Up: 400, every 4th length breathe on your “weak” side.
Drill: 10x50’s, Odds: Distance Per Stroke - focus on stretching out long strokes (use *Freestyler Hand paddles if you have them), Evens: Count strokes. [.....]
