I'm trying to gain some lean muscle mass while losing fat. I am hungry before I go to bed and I like to have a snack, but I heard that I should limit carbs before bedtime. Any thoughts/ideas?
Answer:
If you are starving after work and you could easily inhale everything inside the refrigerator, you may be prone to an over-consumption of food in the late night hours. In other words, you could probably eat more calories after you arrive home from work than the amount of calories you consume during the day.
You are told to eat frequently throughout the day, and it isn’t breaking news that eating more snacks and smaller meals will encourage weight loss by stabilizing blood sugar levels and increasing metabolism. As for the evening hours, you have probably questioned the myth that you should not eat after 6 or 7 p. [.....]
