In this segment, Coach Al speaks of three daily running objectives. Included are videos of various warmup exercises to increase your hip mobility.
3 Daily running objectives
Improve mobility and elasticity of the hips and legs
Improve stability and strength of the hips and legs
Improve form and technique
4 General run training objectives
Include periods of short but FAST running
Include downhill strides
Incorporate running specific functional strength training
Incorporate plyometrics 'hopping, bounding, skipping'
VIDEO WARMUP EXERCISES
- warmup functional exercises to increase mobility of the hips
