I'm planning to do the 2-mile, but can't quite drop the idea of the 3-mile.

Not sure about whether you can go longer in the race. Ask Pete Alfino who is coordinating the race, on Sunday morning.

I'm planning on the two mile.  Would have liked to go 3, but I have to skedaddle back to Winter Park right after the race.

I've done a few Ironman OWS's, but never a full 3 mile.  My workouts are usually about 2.5 miles or so.  My question is: how do YOU keep yourself hydrated and what do you do for nutrition on a 3 mile swim?  I tend to get cramps in my calves at about mile 2 or so, I think electrolyte might help, but how?

I was also going to mention that I've got an extra wetsuit if someone wants to borrow it.  I just picked a new one up this week.  The extra is a sleeveless Neosport, size mens XL.  If you're on the fence because you don't have a wetsuit, shoot me a message.

You don't need nutrition or hydration for a 3 mile.  Just drink and eat plenty beforehand.  It's just like doing a 5k set in the pool....
