If you're running 1:00/mile faster than you expected, back off. Observatory comes in mile 2 and while it's a short climb, it will hurt. A lot. And then the downhill on the back end of that will make you a little crazy. In short: take it easy until the top of Observatory. That should give you about a 5k to sprint. did that last year...oops |
