Good Morning All UTAH BT'ers!

Planning on a Brick Workout on the course for the Saratoga Springs In Training Pool Tri on the 22nd of April!

Brick (bike/run) workout on the course -- Saturday, Mar 18, 9:00 am unless weather conditions prevent.

Meet at the north side of the parking lot at the LDS church next to the entrance to Saratoga Springs subdivision.  (Near the pool).  We'll ride the course then run it!

Let us know if you'll be able to join us!

I also was told by Chris Bowerbank that the swim is going to be only 250 meters. Since the pool has only 5 lanes

I found out yesterday that it is a 250 YARD swim now  ( which really stinks), but they have added 2 miles to the bike route.

Here is the text of the e-mail and links to the routes:

.  The swim is a 250 yard swim. The pool is 25 yards in length, and you
will do two lengths in each lane, move over to the next lane, etc.  Total of
10 lengths of the pool for 250 yards.  We are updating the website and will
have the final information packet ready to download in the next day or so.

2.  As the swim was shortened from the original 400 meters, we've added 2
miles to the bike course.  The maps are now posted on the Spring Tri page on
http://www.triutah.com  Also, here's another link in case you want to zoom
in close:

Let me know if you have additional questions.

Hey Brett -

Sounds good. Not sure I'll be able to make it but will if I can. Any idea what the address of the church is?

Hey Speedsters -

Hope you had a good go over of the course. I mapped it out on Bones in Motion and the bike looks great! Nice and flat compared to Ice Breaker! Those hills look big but the elevation gain is only 40' as opposed to IB which was 250'. Looks like a couple very short but steep climbs. Imagine the wind could pick up out there as well. How did it go?

Hills aren't that bad, but the wind can be a pain down there coming off the lake.  There is also 1 section of road on the outbound loop that rides a bit rough and there are 3 or 4 speedbumps on the second half of the bike.

Course is realtively easy.  Will be a god workout!

See you next week bright and early.  Race starts at 8:00 am you know!

Best of luck to all of you guys doing the tri tomorrow! Team BT is going to kick butt! I wish I could be there with you, but I'm sure you'll do just as well without me

Well, we might do just as well without you, but it definatley WON'T be the same!  You're a great inspiration to the group!

Have fun in St. George -- Best of luck to your wife

I'll be there in spirit to motivate you all. It will be just like in Star Wars when Luke is flying through the Death Star trench. You'll just have to listen very carefully:

"Speed up, [insert your name here]. Don't fear the speedbumps. Pass this guy up ahead. Speed up. You're running much to slow! Don't be afraid to lose your breakfast. You can eat after the race."

And thanks. My wife is very excited (and nervous) to finish her 1st 10k. It will be fun to watch her do it.
