Subject: IM cozumel versus los cabos
I am looking at doing the IM in one of these locations and piggy backing my anniversary along with it. I would like some honest race opinions from people who have done these. Ideally I would like to do the one with the easier swim since that is the hardest for me. SO please let me know your thoughts.

Easiest swim will be Cozumel as the swim course has changed to a point-to-point swim WITH the current.  Still not wetsuit legal but it will be pretty fast with the current.

Cabo was wetsuit legal with the March date but not sure about October.  I assume it will still be wetsuit legal as the Pacific coast stays pretty cool compared to the Gulf coast.

Raced 70.3 Cozumel 2013 and the swim was AMAZING. The IM distance race has changed to "with the current" as previously posted. The bike course is flat and fast can be windy, but my race day wind was PERFECT!  And the run is pretty freeking HOT... Planning on doing my first IM in Cozumel in 2015... and then a weeks VACA after in Cancun...

Can't see from my phone if you have your location posted but keep in mind the time of year these races are. If you live in cold winter climates you will need to do a lot of your biking in the winter

Races are in October and November.  Cabo moved to October.
