Comments: Somewhat slippery footing; could have used YakTrax, but I left them at home. What would you do differently?: Included a sprint into my warm-up Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: I really think my lack of nutrition played a small role. I tried to increase my pace 3/4 of the way through the race, but my legs just wouldn't go any faster (and it was downhill or flat all the rest of the way!) Last updated: 2008-02-06 12:00 AM

An unusual day because I go in for a colonoscopy tomorrow. Solid food is forbidden for all of today. I drank apple juice for breakfast and a can of chicken broth about 10:30.
Walked to event, slow 15 minute jog about 25 minutes before race start. It was a blizzard!! Visibility about 5 feet. I estimate the snowfall was at a rate of 4" per hour.
