Subject: BonkerificFirst off not sure this is the right place to put this question but figured it was nutrition specific. This past weekend I did a 65 mile bike ride with around 4000ft of climbing. Weather was around 78-80 degress with very little humidty. I ended the ride feeling like complete crap and think I bonked. I ended up going through 2 (16oz) bottles of Accelerade, 3 (16oz) bottles of water, a diet pepsi (probably not the best choice) and had two clif bars and a single gu, and snickers bar. My question is if I had enough nutrition. After the ride I had a significant amount of salt on my face. I've never really had this before and I thought I brought enough fuel for the entire ride.
