Swim
What would you do differently?: I felt like I swam really good, my swim time includes the run along the beach to T1, so I was probably in the water for about 10min. Transition 1
Comments: T1 went well, I was putting on my running shoes. Glad I had a bucket of water to wash my feet from the sand. What would you do differently?: Perhaps include putting on my race belt in this transition to save time in T2. Plus, I need those shoe lace clips so I don`t have to try to tie my laces up with such high adrenelin. Bike
What would you do differently?: ride harder next time. Drink a little more, Transition 2
Run
Comments: About killed me! What would you do differently?: Add many more brick workouts into my training. Try to push harder in the last half mile next time. Post race
Warm down: drank water/sports drink, lots of it. Stretched, cooled down, then got a massage. Event comments: The race start was for 6am, but it did not start until 6.20 due to waiting for daylight.I felt it was really well organized. Lots of police to close off streets, volunteers to help. Massage experts to rub down people, and the wait was not long at all. Lots of drinks, food and even smoothies. Look forward to next years! Last updated: 2005-01-10 12:00 AM

Had a terrible sleep. Got up at 0400, had a power bar, vitamin B drink. Packed the car, dressed the kids, and turned up at 0500.
Lots of stretching, ran along the beach for about 10min, got into the water and splashed around a little. Checked my transition spot over and over so I knew exactly where my spot was, made sure no one moved anything. It was dark, windy, cool, and light rain.
