Subject: Eton Super Sprint

A good race, as ever with the human race events the organisation and timekeeping was spot on.  They had a live timing system, so my results were up on screen as soon as I finished.

I was really disappointed at the finish, because my bike split was slower than I wanted, my folks were watching and I though it was just the usual parental enthusiasm when they told me I was the fastest on the bike.  Given this result I really need to work on my run speed, and (a pleasant requirement) to work on my awareness off the other racers, I had no idea until after the race that I started the run in 3rd and didn't bother chasing for the podium.

So once again, I get to annoy all my friends as I've had a good result and before I've celebrated it I've moved my goalposts and have decided I need to work on stuff.
