Swim
Comments: I started at the back of the wave so I wouldn't be caught in the pack however this ended up slowing me down. Apparently I'm faster than I think I am and got stuck behind a couple of slow swimmers who I couldn't get past. Other swimmers were having similar problems getting past the road block so I let them muscle their way through and I stayed back not wanting to get a foot in the face. What would you do differently?: Start in the middle of the pack so I'm not slowed down by the slower swimmers. Transition 1
Comments: The run up from the lake to the transition area was long, taking at least 2-3 minutes of time to get to my gear. Otherwise everything went pretty smooth since I didn't wear my wetsuit. Bike
Comments: I felt really good on the long hill and passed quite a few other riders on both laps. This was a really fun bike course and I'm looking forward to doing it again. What would you do differently?: Be a bit more aggressive on the downhill segments. Transition 2
Comments: Everything went smooth in T2 Run
Comments: First mile was slow as my legs got used to running. After getting hosed down at the turn-around aid station I picked up the pace for the second half of the run. Post race
Warm down: Gathered some nutrition goodies in the finishers tent and stretched my legs. What limited your ability to perform faster: Need to practice more bricks so I don't feel so slow when starting the run. Event comments: Very well organized and fun race, looking forward to doing it again next year! Last updated: 2013-04-15 12:00 AM

Camped the night before so sleep was spotty. Had a breakfast consisting of Clif bars and banana.
Splashed around in the water real quick.
