Overall Rank = 54/119
Age Group = 30-34
Age Group Rank = 9/12
Pre-race routine:

Cliff Bar
Event warmup:

Jogged for ~5-10 mins
Swam ~200m
Swim
  • 36m 45s
  • 1500 meters
  • 02m 27s / 100 meters
Comments:

Did not train at all for the swim so although this was my slowest swim (by far) I was happy with the results (as in happy to just get out of the water)
Transition 1
  • 01m 9s
Comments:

Decent transition... My bike was in way too small of a gear and had a hard time out of transition area
What would you do differently?:

make sure bike is in an easy gear during my set up
Bike
  • 1h 14m 35s
  • 24.8 miles
  • 20.04 mile/hr
Comments:

pretty good bike. Out and back course with a headwind on the way back.
Didn't push too hard on the bike b/c wanted to save some energy for the run
Transition 2
  • 00m 57s
Comments:

Pretty good T2 for me not a lot to change here
Run
  • 51m 35s
  • 6.2 miles
  • 08m 22s  min/mile
Comments:

Good run. This is where I made my PR for the race. Kept a steady pace and didn't stop running. Overall very good for me but lots of room for improvement
Post race
Warm down:

walked around, stretched

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Doing this in the middle of marathon training led to less time on the bike / swim than normal

Event comments:

Solid race, well organized. Never had any confusion about when or where to go. Course was clearly marked with tons of volunteers
Would do again
