Total Time = 29m 4s
Overall Rank = 413/2816
Age Group = F40-44
Age Group Rank = 15/229
Pre-race routine:

We debated what to do with the storm and in the end decided we should at least try and see how far we got. The roads weren't too bad on the way up. We stopped at McDonald's in Ovid to use the indoor facilities! We got there and found a place to park on a side street. We had just about the right amount of time to get all our costumes/bibs/etc on and walk over to the bridge. We walked in about part way on to the bridge from the front. This turned out to be good place to start.
Event warmup:

None other than the walk over and jumping around on the bridge with everyone else trying to stay warm.
Run
  • 29m 4s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 09m 21s  min/mile
Comments:

It was cold, windy, and snowy! It was tough going especially when there was any uphill at all. It was still fun, but I didn't get to look at the lights as much because I was concentrating on my feet. I was dressed as an elf this time with lights!
What would you do differently?:

Not much! I liked where we started in terms of not having to dodge walkers.
Post race
Warm down:

I walked straight to the community center to wait for L&J.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of miles coming off the calf injury earlier in the fall.

Event comments:

We always have fun here and were glad we braved the snow!
