Overall Rank = 41/98

Age Group Rank = 12/50
Pre-race routine:

Went for a 30-minute OWS, took a shower, ate crackers anda banana on the way to Kettle Falls. Walked around, checked out the vendors, bought another FU dress, used the blue room
Event warmup:

100-Up Drills
Run
  • 31m 41s
  • 2.61 miles
  • 12m 08s  min/mile
Comments:

The race was a bit shorter than last year's.
What would you do differently?:

Pay closer attention. I just followed everybody else, who followed me, and we may have taken the wrong route. I drove it after the race, but the volunteers were so good the signs were already removed. On the other hand, I heard from several sources that the course had been shortened a bit from last year because of so much "cheating" by people taking a shortcut, so it's possible this is what they were talking about. I will never know if I took a shorter route. Edit: I talked to someone else who also ran the race, and she said the thought that loop was removed from this year's race as she and those around her took the same route I did.
Post race
Warm down:

Ran into a friend who is going through a divorce and talked her into also buying an FU dress from the same vendor.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nothing. Worked all day, went for a hard swim, and then the race. I was just looking at this race as a training run, not really a race.

Event comments:

Part of Kettle Falls' Town & Country Days.
