First, I'm not a strong swimmer at all so this is my best time for the distance...course was an easy out and back. Did really good with sighting and sort of drafted on the way back in.

Lost my water bottle before exiting Latta Plantation...luckily it's only a 17 mile course. Felt good the whole time but definitely notice that I not was correctly fitted on my tri bike.

I'm doing the 22 week sprint tri program and the 2 mile bike ride it starts with is not very challenging. I see this as a opportunity to train the right way and challenge myself. Any ideas?

This past spring I realized a few of us were heading in the wrong direction physically. We were getting together for poker games and kids’ birthdays, but that was it.

The challenge? The accomplishment? I want to do this because it is an opportunity to live life. The event is an indoor sprint triathlon. I get to experience the challenge on a safer scale.

Already a cyclist and not a bad swimmer, I figured all I had to do was build up to running a few miles and I’d be ready to go. The challenge invigorated me, and I ran out to buy new running shoes.
